I can vouch for the change in sausages – as I was an awkward customer who explained how wonderful the breakfasts were, with the exception of the sausages!! Andrea & Mark listened and WOW the sausages were changed! They are a brilliant couple who really take a pride in the fayre that they offer and the service that they give. Delicious! Thanks!

Love the crafty and home things! Since the Melton Road Christmas market last year we regularly pop in to visit Daisy Daisy for greeting cards or gifts. Initially we thought this shop was a nursery but once you go in, it is a joy to be surrounded by such lovely trinkets and gifts. Iguazu has the best range of gifts and jewellery in West Bridgford. I always buy my cards from there and I have also purchased a beautiful TV unit from them. The store is situated next to Pizza Hut on Gordon Road and surprisingly a lot of people still don’t know about it. They specialise in fair trade and eco products and have loads of great products that are made in the UK too like candles from Cornwall and handmade soaps from Derbyshire. If I ever need to buy a gift it’s always my first stop (especially for last minute gifts on a Sunday!) and I’m always guaranteed to find something special.

Why do you love your Hidden Gem? – We were looking for an outlet for the Abundance fruit and vegetables. Space = money in retail so when Amit and Bipin allowed us to use their shop as a drop off point we were over the moon. Tucked away on Clumber Road, they are open late and in the weekends, they stock Magpie beer (my husband’s favourite) and are looking for more local suppliers. They have really embraced the Totally Locally spirit and it is always a joy to go into their shop and be greeted by hardworking, friendly and co-operative people.
