Time For Tea & Church Street Clocks

This is a true gem of a shop- a real unique little place with a quaint combination of a tea rooms that has some of the most scrummy home baked cakes courtesy of the lovely Janet, teamed up with her husband Roger’s contribution of an antique clock “department” where you can buy some really wonderful timepieces. Sound like a strange combination? Well clocks and cakes, just like peaches and cream or Ant and Dec (hmm) really are a match made in heaven! This is due, on most part, to the fact that Janet and Roger are just so bloomin’ passionate about their respective trades.

They like to promote “old leek” and really see the importance of good old customer service, something that never goes out of fashion! Janet’s always been in the catering trade and she is a dab hand with a cake recipe! As for Roger’s clocks, he’s always been doing clock repairs, and he takes pride in the service he provides, selling clocks with an emphasis on craftsmanship that stand the test of time.

So whether you like clocks or cakes, or both for that matter, Time For Tea is definitely worth a visit, because Janet and Roger just want to make their customers happy, and they have set up the perfect place for you to come and watch the hours tick by (literally) while you relax with a nice cup of tea and a piece of cake- perfect! In here its always the perfect time for tea!
