Fiona Miller opened her shop five years ago after the town’s long established Kirklands Toy Shop closed due to the owner’s retirement. Seeing the need for a good quality toy shop to fill the gap that this created, Fiona decided to move on from her background in drinks retailing and set up her own business.

The emphasis at The Toy Shop is on creativity and learning through play, but at the same time, having fun! It doesn’t stock licenced characters that your child may nag you to buy for them, but instead concentrates on quality toys and games, i.e. the sort of toys you want your children to play with!
