Mention Emporium Gifts in Edwinstowe and you’ll get a big smile and words like “friendly”, “welcoming”, “nothing is too much trouble”. Were we to give out a “Friendliest Shop in the Village Award” (watch this space), Emporium Gifts owner Angela Gripton would probably be up on stage, doing a Gwyneth (Paltrow for all our male readers, and those who’ve not watched every Oscars ceremony since they were eight), in an amazing dress.

In Emporium Gifts, Angela has created a rather special gift shop. She sells the beautiful, quirky things you can’t find anywhere else, in a warm, welcoming environment. It’s the perfect Totally Locally formula. Amongst the riot of colourful loveliness on display, we found locally made art, hand made jewellery, cards, and toiletries. Angela even makes some of the art works herself.
